brainr0t is a visual and multimedia project that explores the cognitive and emotional erosion caused by constant exposure to low-quality digital content. Inspired by the Oxford Word of the Year 2024, "brain rot", the project reflects on how social media transforms the human body, violence, and food into consumable, repetitive visual material—empty of context, saturated with anxiety, and stripped of meaning.
Through AI-generated imagery, manipulated reels, and distorted feeds, brainr0t blurs the line between reality and simulation, exposing the passive, algorithm-driven consumption that defines our digital experience.
The project includes a collaboration with Universe 25 Fanzine, which extends the conceptual work into print, creating a physical echo of the digital decay—a fragmented archive of corrupted bodies, artificial identities, and synthetic flesh.
